High School Equivalency
Cape Cod Community College provides both HiSET and GED testing on campus. Both tests are computer based and registration and test scheduling is completed online.
To register and schedule to take the HiSET examination at 4Cs, please go to to either the HiSET website (hiset.ets.org) or the GED website (ged.com). Once you are at either one of these websites, you will first need to create your own personal HiSET or GED account.
The HiSET and GED websites are specifically designed for those interested in finding out more about these tests and/or how to go about taking one of these tests. These websites will provide you with the most current information regarding the test, along with test taker information and practice tests. This information will give you a better idea of what to expect on the test, links on how to best prepare to take the test, and lead you through the steps to register and to schedule to take one of these tests.
Once you have established an account, and you feel you are ready to take the test, log-in to your personal account and schedule and pay for your test online.
The Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education have established specific requirements for those who would like to take the HiSET or GED test in Massachusetts. These include:

However, you must complete the HiSET* or GED registration (create your own personal HiSET account) at www.hiset.org or www.ged.com as the first step. If you already have the Letter of Withdrawal or if you need to get it, please make sure it contains the following information:
Then submit the letter to the name and address below, making sure you have provided your ETS or GED ID number, your phone number and your e-mail address. The letter and the additional information must be submitted by mail to the following address:
